About the book: 1965 / In one of the Kuban villages on Shchorsa Street lives Kolka Bogatyrev, a recognized leader and inventor among the boys. He has many friends. Tomorrow, at the request of geologists, the boys are already collecting minerals, the day after tomorrow they are tracking down the dahlia thief, and a month later they are doing the most peaceful thing - trying to make the unsuspecting cow Zorka a record holder. Of course, life in Kolka Bogatyrev’s army does not always go smoothly. It happens that apples from someone else's orchard seem tastier to the children than their own, and this gives some reason to say that Kolka and his friends are inveterate hooligans and slackers. But would geologists really call the deposit after an inveterate slacker??..
