About the book: 2016 / Finding itself, thanks to its geographical location, at the crossroads of ancient trade routes that connected Mesopotamia with the Mediterranean coast, Egypt and the Anatolian Peninsula, Syria became a crossroads of civilizations. As a result, a motley mixture of peoples, cultures and styles formed on its territory. But even through this motley mixture in Syria, it is possible to discern traces of an ancient, highly technologically advanced civilization, whose representatives our ancestors called “gods.” Unfortunately, the current war in Syria has affected them too. Some ancient objects that preserved traces of the “gods” have now, alas, ceased to exist, having been destroyed by militants. And what will be left for the next generations is anyone’s guess.
