About the book: 1987 / The first section of the collection is devoted to the topic “Man and Nature.” This included selected stories from the Meshchersky and Pleshcheyevsky cycles, which were preceded by a preface about the writer’s concerns for the fate of the world around him. The second section of the collection is varied in material and theme: stories and tales about love, the search for a path in life, the beauty of a good deed, real and imaginary self-affirmation. This also includes two stories dedicated to little-known events in the historical life of Russia.
