Daughter of a Ryazan landowner, attorney at law, chairman of the Ryazan department of the "Union of October 17th", member of the State Council from the Ryazan zemstvo. In 1906, she was arrested for participating in the assassination attempt on Pyotr Stolypin. She was sentenced to death. In prison, Natalya Klimova wrote the famous “Letter before Execution,” which was published in August 1908 in the magazine “Education” next to the novel by Marcel Prevost and subsequently went around the whole world. Later, Klimova wrote a story for children, “The Red Flower.” The death penalty was replaced by indefinite hard labor. In 1909 she escaped from prison. In exile he is in Paris, where he participates in the activities of the Socialist Revolutionary military organization. In 1918, while trying to return to Russia, she fell ill with the flu and died.
