About the book: 2017 / The history of the Crimean Khanate for the ordinary reader remains practically unknown today. When and why did the Tatars settle in Crimea, what relations did this state have with its neighbors, distant and close: the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Muscovite Kingdom, the Ottoman Empire, the Kazan and Astrakhan Khanates? But the greatest interest for the Ukrainian reader is the history of relations between the Crimean Khanate and Ukraine; it is not for nothing that the Crimean Tatars and Cossacks were called sworn friends and bosom enemies.
