About the book: 2024 / An extraordinary influx of Russian-speaking emigrants is observed in the Shirak region. They are everywhere: on the streets, in bars, in sports and, of course, remotely. Each of them lives their life in their own way: some regard Armenia as a transit point, others simply waste their lives in the sun-drenched squares of the thundering city of Gyumri. The main character is the narrator. He knows the entire geolocation of the city of Gyumri and the most interesting places outside of it. He doesn’t give up and cooks borscht in the narrow kitchen of his rented apartment. He travels near the main station building through the Lovecraft universe. This collection is a recursion of days that determines the mood of each relocant who left and each who returned home. They run away from reality, withdrawing into their own world, trying to cope with what attacks them. Evil and good no longer exist, there is only running and the desire to reach the cherished checkpoint, where you can save and not worry about further vicissitudes of fate.
