About the book: year / France... A huge number of guidebooks have been written about this country, attractive to Russian tourists. However, the authors risked taking on a new version of the book for travelers. Without in any way claiming to be exceptionally complete, they offer the reader their own view of the western region of the country. If a few years ago tours codenamed “Gallop across Europe” were very popular, today more and more travelers prefer a thoughtful study of the country to a superficial look. That is why the authors suggest (and imply) an independent trip around the region. The structure of the author's guidebook is compiled according to a centric principle: each region is represented by several large cities, from where routes extend to the nearby surroundings, which can be reached either by public transport or by car. Whether to go there or not is up to each reader to decide for himself. The authors tried to find in each town its own zest, for which it is worth visiting.
