About the book: 2007 / Georgy Karpenko - Russian traveler, master of sports in tourism, captain of the yacht "Urania-2", which in 1999 became the first Russian sailing yacht which reached the shores of Antarctica. The story about this expedition formed the basis of his first book, “Sailing to Antarctica” (2002). The second book by Georgy Karpenko tells about the Arctic ski crossing he made together with Vyacheslav Bystrov in March-April 2003.
