About the book: 2010 / The biography of Vladimir Nabokov, written by Brian Boyd, is universally recognized as the most complete and reliable of all existing ones. The first volume covers the period from 1899 to 1940 - the years of the writer’s life in Russia and European emigration. The translation into Russian was carried out in collaboration with the author; in comparison with the English edition, changes and clarifications were made to the text. The new edition (2010) of the Biography contains clarifications and additions that reflect archival finds and publications that appeared during the period after the publication of the first Russian (2001) edition of this book.
