MediaDB / «About Russian theft, a special path and long-suffering" Vladimir Medinsky: download fb2, read online
About the book: year / A national Russian trait for a long time - not even since the time of Karamzin with his “They're Stealing, sir,” but even earlier , since the era of feeding - this is general theft, corruption and bribery. And the fact that all of Russia has not yet been plundered to zero means only one thing: the country is too rich. Any surge in corruption is not something unique, but only a continuation of our ancient national tradition. Why does the government tolerate this? Because she herself actively participates in this. And most importantly, because the people tolerate it. The Russian people are long-suffering and will “endure” everything. We know: in Paris, if bus fares increase by five eurocents, there will be a strike immediately. In England they will want to close a couple of unprofitable mines - a general strike of miners. But in our country, in order for the miners to complain, you have to simply not pay them wages for at least three years. In general, long-suffering and hope for power are a native Russian trait. “When the master comes, the master will judge us.” All this taken together distinguishes us from both the West and the East. The West is the West, the East is the East, Kipling used to say, and we will add: Russia is Russia. We are between them. Naturally, we cannot be understood with our minds... Measuring is also a futile task. These are the features of our national hunting, fishing, etc. - in general, of a national character. Such is our mysterious Russian soul. And one last thing. With our contemplative Orthodox spirituality, superimposed on Russian laziness and sloppiness, of course, in our entire history, we allegedly could not create anything normal in a technocratic sense. They stole, that was (that's just our way). There we’ll steal the drawings of an atomic bomb from the Americans, there we’ll redraw the Wright brothers’ plane. We can still shoe a flea. But in principle we are not suitable for effective work. And all the attempts by the authorities to develop nanotechnology, computers, and machine tools are all the nonsense of a madman. Or PR. The only thing we are adapted to is transporting hemp, timber, oil and gas in payment for “everything that scrupulous London sells for the plentiful whim.” And there is no need to fuss about this. This is our historical place in the global division of labor. It has always been so and that is why it will always be so... Here are four theses with which we will argue in this book. The author will argue that if this is partly the case now, this does not mean at all that It's always been like that. And it cannot be any other way. Read, think, argue.
