MediaDB / «Traitor" Vladimir Gerlach: download fb2, read online
About the book: 2013 / ...Memoir prose. Written from the author’s diaries and notes, original documents of the era, 1939–1945. The author of the proposed book is a Russian white officer, a worker in exile at a Parisian factory, who during the Second World War, believing the German “liberators”, went into their service with trust and complete loyalty. Serving honestly in the German army on the territory of the Soviet Union, he did everything in his power to alleviate the plight of the Russian population. After the end of the war and the defeat of Germany, Gerlach was captured by the French, remained in captivity for almost three years, miraculously survived, he was not extradited to the Soviet authorities. The proposed book was written in memory of those who served with him and died, the same Russian people, without guilt guilty and caught under the wheels of terrible Russian history. “The book is written in simple, accessible and often colorful language. The author wanted readers to fully enter into the atmosphere in which the Russian people lived and fought. In this respect, it undoubtedly makes a significant contribution to the history of the struggle against Bolshevism.” The most valuable and little-known document of the era. Forgotten names, unexplored materials. For Slavists, historians of Russia, bibliographers, collectors. Very rare, especially when included.
