About the book: 1989 / Writers of the Far East // Biobibliographic reference book. Vol. 2 - Khabarovsk: Khabar. Regional University scientific b-ka, 1989. - 384 pp. The second issue of the recommendatory bio-bibliographic reference book “Writers of the Far East” is a continuation of the publication of the same name, published by the Khabarovsk Regional Library in 1973. Over the past 15 years, the composition of local writing organizations has changed significantly. More than 50 Far Eastern writers were admitted to the Union of Soviet Writers. The main place in the directory is occupied by the biobibliography of members of the Union of Soviet Writers who live and work in the Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories, Amur, Kamchatka, Magadan and Sakhalin regions. Next to them are the names of those who live outside the region, but continue to work on Far Eastern topics. The directory includes the names of writers who died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, who, although not members of the Union, played a role in the literary life of the Far East. The directory was compiled on the basis of certificates sent by local writers' organizations, autobiographies of writers and literary materials about their work. Due to the lack in some cases of necessary information about life and activities, individual authors are presented with incomplete biographical data. The directory includes 125 names.
