    About the book: 1968 / The first year of the war is underway... The Nazis are still not far from Moscow, Leningrad is still surrounded. Our army is still in dire need of weapons and ammunition. In the distant rear, in the Urals, evacuated enterprises are being hastily restored, including the Peschansky Chemical Plant. But to run the plant at full capacity, water is needed, and finding it in these places is not easy. Hydrogeologists conducting searches know this, and so do the enemies who are trying to delay the launch of the most important industrial facility... The author of this story, Vladimir Vasilyevich Voloskov, was born in 1927 in Omutninsk, Kirov Region. Since childhood he lived in Sverdlovsk. In 1944 he volunteered to join the navy. After demobilization in 1950, he began working in geological parties. In 1955, as a result of an accident, he became severely ill. Paralyzed. I found a new calling in writing. In Moscow, Sverdlovsk, Perm he published several books, including two in the “Library of Travel and Adventures” (“At the Crossroads”, 1963, “The Operation Continues”, 1964). Lives in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region. Member of the Writers' Union of the RSFSR.
