About the book: year / The story “Yehudiel Chlamys” was first published in 1937 in the magazine “Friendly Guys”. The author talks about the time when Maxim Gorky worked at the Samara Newspaper, wrote articles, feuilletons, notes and signed them “Yegudiel Chlamida”. On March 5, 1895, the Samara Gazeta published Maxim Gorky’s work “In the Black Sea Region,” in which the story of old Ragim was subtitled “About the Falcon and Already.” This was the first edition of the famous “Song of the Falcon”, which appeared in the form as we now know it only four years later, in 1899. Grigoriev's story cannot be considered documentary; these are not memories, but an attempt to capture the image of young Gorky in literature.
