About the book: 2008 / This volume publishes the memoirs of Soviet internationalist soldiers of the Afghan campaign of 1979–1989, prepared as part of the Academy’s target program historical sciences. The volume presents, in the author's edition, the memoirs of 42 veterans of Moscow who participated in this war. This book is a source for scientific research, invaluable material in the preparation of new teaching aids and literary works, as well as useful for people interested in military history. The multi-volume book is non-commercial publication and distributed according to the list of recipients established by the Academy. The first recipients are veteran authors of articles and their student assistants, university organizers and teachers, as well as libraries of universities, schools and organizations. Four copies are intended to be transferred free of charge to each region of Russia - one copy to the libraries of a museum, university, veterans' organization and the head of the executive branch of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation. Free copies are provided for the libraries of state leaders and foreign universities. 100 copies are handed over to veterans to be presented to museums of sponsored schools, as well as to students - to be presented to museums of educational institutions in which they are still studying or have already graduated. Starting from the 7th volume, the book is published in 1000 copies. All volumes are posted on the Web page www.ainros.ru of the Academy of Historical Sciences for free reading and copying.
