About the book: 1999 / The work of the prominent Finnish historian Mauno Jokipia is devoted to Finnish-German military rapprochement and cooperation at a relatively short stage in European history (March 1940 - June 1941). Contrary to the widespread concept of the “floating log” about the allegedly involuntary entry of Finland into the war against the USSR, the solid documentary basis of the study allowed the author to come to the conclusion about the conscious and consistent military-political rapprochement of Finland with Nazi Germany with the aim of attacking the Soviet Union.
