About the book: year / The plot of the novel is probably not quite ordinary: it revolves around a temporary faculty of parasitology, which was organized by some very developed civilization. The work itself is presented in two parallel parts, mainly the diaries of the main characters. The genre of one part is sea adventures, combat fantasy, atompunk, the other is closer to utopia in the genres of space and science fiction, with a postmodern and “dark” fantasy flavor. In the author's version, chapters of two parts alternate, but, in principle, you can read the parts separately - this will not affect the perception of the plot. Most sci-fi fans will be better off with Cyclops Odyssey IV, an atompunk naval adventure with combat. Therefore, if “The Sacrificial Maiden” seems too boring to you, you can safely read only “The Odyssey”, and then, in order to understand why the heroes faced such outlandish trials, it is enough to overcome Chapter VI of “The Sacrificial Maiden”»…
