About the book: 2022 / When designing and testing radio equipment that is part of a shortwave radio communication channel, it is necessary to carry out its path tests, which is very expensive and labor-intensive. During preliminary tests, track tests can be replaced by modeling a radio channel on a stand that simulates a radio communication channel. But in this case, significant difficulties arise, since in order to ensure the required reliability of the tests, the test signal must be generated as close as possible to the signal that appears in the HF radio channel on the real route. The paper presents a method for calculating the signal and interference at the receiving point for a specific radio path, and justifies methods for generating a test signal when modeling a radio channel on this path, to obtain a signal with given parameters and with an envelope distributed according to normal, half-normal or logarithmic distribution laws.
