MediaDB / «Stepan Bandera in search of Bogdan the Great” Alexander Andreev: download fb2, read online
About the book: 2013 / Alexander Andreev’s previous work “Bogdan Khmelnitsky in search of the Pereyaslav Rada” told about the magnificent history of Ukraine and its revolution of the mid-17th century. The new book by the Moscow historian “Stepan Bandera in Search of Bohdan the Great” tells in detail and dynamically about the fate of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and its leaders in 1929–1959. Nine parts of the book contain reconstructions of Ukrainian history after the Cossack era, the activities of Symon Petliura and the life of the Ukrainian People's Republic during the time of the Civil War of 1918–1921 in the former Russian Empire, the relationship and struggle of the OUN with the Pilsuds, Nazis and Stalinists. A significant part of the publication is devoted to the history of Ukrainian nationalism, the war of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and the troops of the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs of the USSR led by Lavrentiy Beria, the murderous confrontation between the OUN security service and special groups of the NKVD of the Ukrainian SSR. The reconstruction-research describes in detail the life and work of Stepan Bandera, cites and analyzes his clear and insightful works, written from the moment of liberation from the fascist concentration camp of Sachsenhausen in 1944 until his murder by poison in Munich in October 1959. Many documents of the OUN and UPA, works of S. Bandera and P. Fedun-Poltava, translated by the author, are published on Russian for the first time.
