His childhood was spent in Moscow in the Shekhtel mansion at the Nikitsky Gate, where Gorky once lived and where his museum is now located, where many important events took place that continue to concern those who are interested in our past. Not only the life, but also the death of his great-grandfather is the subject of adventure novels and adventure films. In the 1930s, those “culpable” for Gorky’s death were put in the dock and sentenced to death. Why did he decide to write this book?
