MediaDB / «Poisoning in Wychford" by Anthony Berkeley: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1926 / Why is any murder case so excitingly interesting? Not his disgusting, dark details, no, what is interesting is the psychology of the characters, the character of the criminal, the character of the victim, their reaction to violence, what they felt, thought, and experienced at the time of the murder. The circumstances under which the murder was committed, the methods of the killer, the ways in which he seeks to avoid clarification and investigation of the murder - after all, this all directly follows from the character of the killer. But in themselves, apart from character, they are secondary. It can be argued that the facts in these cases depend on psychology. Add psychology and you get what film directors call the drama of human passions.
