About the book: 2018 / The flea market was held once a week on Saturdays near the old and rickety Korean Protestant church. Once upon a time, about fifty years ago, a large community of Korean Methodists settled in the area - they chipped in and, with their joint efforts, built a meeting place for themselves. But their children grew up, their grandchildren moved away, the old people died. Now there were few parishioners, donations were meager, and the pastor, in order to somehow make ends meet, rented out this once church garden for a small fee, and now just a compacted dirt area - on weekdays for parking to nearby car owners, and on warm summer Saturdays — those who want to get rid of unnecessary junk or earn extra money by small resale of everything that comes to hand.
