About the book: 1986 / The epic novel “Call of the Ploughmen”, written by a prominent writer, honored cultural figure of Armenia Khachik Dashtents (1910–1974), is a notable phenomenon in modern Armenian prose of recent years. This book is evidence of heroism and at the same time the embodiment of the highest moral values ​​of the people - noble patriotism, intransigence in the fight against violence. Resorting to the form of an epic legend, the author created a true legend about the struggle of the Armenian haiduks in the late 19th - early 20th centuries, which marked the national liberation movement of the people against foreign enslavers.
