About the book: 1972 / The novel "Temyr" by the outstanding Abkhaz prose writer I.G. Papaskiri was created hot on the heels of the 30s, and is distinguished by deep psychologism. The plot of “Temyr” is the story of the touching love of two young people - Temyr and Zina, complicated by various circumstances: Zina’s father turned out to be the murderer of Temyr’s brother. An outdated centuries-old custom constantly reminds the young mountaineer of the debt of blood feud... Having gone through a large and complex process of internal self-remodeling, Temyr becomes the builder of a new Abkhaz village. The novel was awarded a Diploma in 1967. D.I.
