Ingobor's surreal prose was appreciated by his correspondents - such dissimilar writers as A. Makarenko and V. Shklovsky. He was drafted into the "writer's militia" of Moscow (as a quartermaster). Captured in early October 1941; On October 10 he was taken to the Semlow concentration camp in Pomerania. Further fate is unknown. To this day it has never been reprinted.
