About the book: year / At the beginning of 1999, we set off on our first African journey. Through Georgia, Turkey, Syria, Jordan and Egypt we got to Sudan - to the largest country in Africa, where the childhood of mankind lives to this day. There, in the country of clay houses and straw huts, in these Sudanese villages, where you go out into the street in the evening and will not see an electric light; where people live in simplicity, kindness and faith, as in the time of Abraham; where it will be given with joy to the one who asks, and the door will be opened with joy to the one who knocks; where many people still don’t know, like us, what MONEY is and what TIME is; there, under the hot sun of Africa, human childhood lives. Surrounded by teenage countries playing with computers and cruise missiles, it must inevitably grow up or perish.
