MediaDB / «The pact that changed the course of history" Vladimir Najafov: download fb2, read online
About the book: 2015 / Twice over half a century - in 1939 and 1989 - the international consequences of the non-aggression pact concluded between the USSR and Germany on August 23, 1939 years were clearly explosive, followed by a critical acceleration of events and a de facto change in the vector of world politics. The first time was when the pact, instantly and dramatically changing the balance of power in Europe, strengthened Hitler in his determination to attack Poland, which marked the beginning of World War II. For the second time, the legacy of the Soviet-German pact made a loud impact in 1989-1991 after the Soviet side admitted - for the first time, publicly, to the whole world - the fact of signing a secret protocol to the pact on “delimitation of spheres of mutual interests in Eastern Europe” and the announcement of all secret agreements with Germany are invalid from the moment of their signing. This led to another structural restructuring of international relations, causing the collapse of the Soviet Empire and the USSR itself. The book examines various aspects of the problem of the origin and nature of the Second World War, with an emphasis on the factor of the class-imperial policy of Stalin's Soviet Union, including both immediate and long-term historical -geopolitical consequences of the Soviet-German pact. It is based on a wide documentary base, in particular on materials from the archives of Russia and the USA.
