About the book: 2012 / The book by the founders of the first Pirate Party, Rick Falkvinge and member of the European Parliament Christian Engström, is dedicated to the problem of copyright, that is, copyright itself as a problem for further development of culture. Having emerged in the 17th–18th centuries, the institution of copyright as a limited monopoly of the content industry, which partially ensured its production, evolved in only one direction - the strengthening and expansion of this monopoly. In its current form, copyright has lost its social effectiveness and has turned from a relatively useful condition for the creator into an obstacle to the development of culture as a whole. And what?
