About the book: 1954 / In this two-volume edition I included some of the works of different years, which, it seems to me, reflect my path in Soviet literature. The first volume includes the stories “Partisans” and “Armored Train 14–69”, three cycles of stories: about the civil war, about recent days and about the distant past; the book “Meetings with Maxim Gorky” and the play “Lomonosov”. The second volume is the novel “Parhomenko” about the legendary hero of the civil war.
