  • MediaDB / «Alexander Solzhenitsyn" Lyudmila Saraskina: download fb2, read online

About the book: 2008 / Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn is a rare example in modern literature of a writer-tribune, a writer-moralist. His biography included war and camps, a Nobel Prize and persecution that ended in expulsion from the USSR. The 20 years spent in exile did not break Solzhenitsyn’s connection with his homeland - immediately after his triumphant return to Moscow, he became involved in public life, thinking hard about “how we can develop Russia.” Without softening his expressions, without trying to please those in power, he many times attracted the fire of criticism from right and left, but retained high moral authority and the title of a living classic of modern Russian literature. The release of his first full biography is timed to coincide with the 90th anniversary of A.I. Solzhenitsyn , created by the famous writer and literary historian L.I. Saraskina on the basis of unique archival documents, conversations with Solzhenitsyn himself and members of his family.
