About the book: year / The main idea of ​​this book is simple: to tell the story of the Crusades as they were seen, experienced and recorded in the Arab camp. The contents of the book are based almost exclusively on the testimony of contemporary Arab historians and chroniclers. They were not talking about the Crusades, but about the Frankish wars or “Frankish invasions.” Instead of offering yet another history book, the author has tried to write what might be called a "life history" of the Crusades, the history of those two centuries of upheaval that affected the Western and Arab worlds alike and which still influence relationship between them.
