About the book: 2018 / 60 years ago in TM took place first publication of I. Efremov’s novel “The Andromeda Nebula”. According to Arkady Strugatsky, it made a stunning impression on readers, having a huge impact on all subsequent fiction. In honor of this event, we decided to publish the book-album “The Universe of Ivan Efremov.” The first part, the book “Intuition of the Direct Beam,” collected essays, reports, interviews with scientists, inventors and writers. The second part, the album “Under the Charoite Star,” included more than fifty paintings by Gennady Tishchenko. As one of the speakers at the opening of the memorial plaque to Efremov said: “Now everyone needs to re-read “The Hour of the Bull” so as not to I soon had to re-read “Leo Tolstoy as a mirror of the Russian revolution...”.
