Its authors are considered to be the prominent ideologist of metropolitan hippieism Arkady Slavorosov (“Guru”) and the avant-garde artist Sergei Shutov (later the designer of the magazine “Grubults”). For many years, “Canon” was distributed as a valuable machine leaflet and at one time played a huge role in the formation of the Russian subculture. Later, the text of the manifesto was repeatedly reprinted (“Urlight”, “Tusovka”, “Criminal Case +” and many others)).
