We know Trubetskoy the Decembrist, Trubetskoy the musician, Trubetskoy the linguist, one of the representatives of this numerous family was M. Yu. Lermontov’s second at his last duel. It is hardly possible to name such an eminent family, which gave us so many wonderful people whose lives are not leaves neither historian-researchers nor us, inquisitive readers, indifferent.
