About the book: year / This work is the fifth in a series consisting of five separate and completely independent science fiction novels, connected by an important and common idea, and collected into one whole under the general name “Quintet. Worlds." It seems to the author that this novel is the easiest to understand. It combined a bunch of genres, including detective, mysticism and fantasy. Its main character is a simple and dashing guy. He is a criminal, an adventurer, a rogue, a warrior, a simpleton and a lover. He fights, runs away, rushes about, kills, rages and constantly dreams. They periodically shoot at him, sometimes they hit him, but most often he shoots successfully and accurately and hits him. My hero tries to unravel the secret of mysterious artifacts, falls in love, meets aliens and discovers his true essence. The end of the book is, as always, unexpected, but not as unexpected as in other novels in this series. Yes, and more! Something very much sets this rollicking book apart from the rest of the glorious Worlds Quintet. It somehow weakly describes the theme of love, so adored by the author. Just one sex scene, and even then, created sluggishly and in a hurry, for the sake of decency. But what can you do... Tradition is tradition.
