About the book: 1961 / Karl Ewald - Danish prose writer. Fairy tales brought him fame. Their first collection was published in 1893, followed by others - in total they amounted to 20 volumes. In Ewald's fairy tales, the world of living nature is described in an allegorical form, reminiscent of Andersen's. In addition to fairy tales, the writer published several novels on social themes in the 1880s, and at the end of his life and the beginning of the new century - several historical novels. Now this writer is undeservedly forgotten among us. Meanwhile, his children's works have not lost any of their charm and will undoubtedly be of interest to our children. Here is the fairy tale “The Fog” by Karl Ewald with beautiful illustrations by Hulo Sooster. This tale most clearly provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the author’s unique style.
