MediaDB / «In a hundred years" Eduard Verkin: download fb2, read online
About the book: 2014 / Eduard Verkin is a writer, multiple laureate of the Cherished Dream literary award, laureate of the Kniguru competition, winner of the competition named after. S. Mikhalkova and one of the brightest modern authors for teenagers. His books are unusual, although they seem to tell about everyday life. They shock, upend the usual picture of the world both by the story itself, which is always masterfully conveyed, and by what is left behind the scenes. The events of the book take place in the distant future, where most of humanity, as a result of an epidemic, has ceased to be people. The changed metabolism gave them the opportunity to live indefinitely, but at the same time took away the ability to feel anything. The heroes, teenagers, trying to experience at least a shadow of emotions, try to imitate the behavior of lovers from old books. With grotesque seriousness they practice courtship, performing ridiculously absurd acts. Becoming a real person turns out to be the most important thing for them. “In a Hundred Years” is a fantastic story where, under a thin layer of fiction, a very lyrical and at the same time poignant love story is hidden. But above all, this is high-quality prose. The story is being published for the first time.
