About the book: 2012 / A collection of articles and speeches by Modest Kolerov on Russian foreign policy in the near abroad and the related ideological struggle within Russia for 2009–2012 was published years, most of which were publications of the REGNUM news agency. The collection “The Limit of Empires” thus continues the author’s collection “War: Russian Foreign Policy and Political Struggle” (Moscow, 2009), which united articles for 1999–2009. The new book includes, in particular, texts on historical politics and revisionism in modern Eastern Europe, the new “Nuremberg” against Russia, the “de-Stalinization” program in Russia, the theory of “Soviet occupation” of the Baltic states, attempts from abroad to dictate rules to the Russian language (“in Ukraine”, “Tallinn”, “Kyrgyzstan” and etc.), policy towards Russian compatriots abroad, the results of imperial construction in Eurasia, including the experience of the European Union, national-imperialism of Hungary, prospects for Kazakhstan and the principles of Vladimir Putin’s new foreign policy.
