About the book: 1977 / Bright and unique pages in the epic of the Zionist movement belong to the six million Jewry of Russia, which at the beginning of the twentieth century represented the largest concentration of Jews of all time diaspora. On the eve of the First World War, the Jews of Russia made up about half of world Jewry, and, according to the Jewish sociologist and researcher Yaakov Leschinsky, 94% of Russian Jews were concentrated in the notorious Pale of Settlement in those years.
