About the book: 1987 / This novel is a tribute to the memory of the people who fought for the young Soviet Republic in Primorye. At the center of the novel is the fate of two Koreans - rickshaw driver Yusek and his bride Esugi, who left their native land in search of happiness. In Russia, they end up in a revolutionary detachment led by the Russian commander Martynov and the commissar, the Korean Sindo Kim. Yusek dies protecting the life of Commissioner Shindo.
