About the book: year / The novel by the famous modern Burmese writer Tin San tells about the peasant uprising of Sai San against the British colonialists (1930-1932). The heroes of the novel are Burmese peasants of different nationalities, united by a common struggle. Many of them die, many end up in prison, but the suffering they endure only strengthens their courage, will, and strengthens their determination to achieve their cherished goal - the liberation of the country.
