About the book: 2008 / We present here selected works of Marina Tsvetaeva in translations by two French poets - Henri Deluis and Eva Malret. Henri Deluis was born in 1931. in Marseille. He published his first book, Images, at the age of seventeen. He translated many foreign authors - Dutch, German, Portuguese, Czech, Slovak, Russian... His book “Lyrical Resentment,” dedicated to Tsvetaeva, was published in 1992. In his unrhymed translations, he was able to convey in French the feverish rhythm and lyrical frenzy of the great Russian poet .Eva Malreux was born in 1945 and passed away in 1984. She recreated the real French Tsvetaeva, realizing what Tsvetaeva herself wanted to do. Eva Malreux introduced French readers to Tsvetaeva, daring and strict, passionate and refined. Her eighteen translations of Tsvetaeva’s poems and poems make up the collection “An Attempt of Jealousy,” published in 1986 under the editorship of Efim Etkind, from which we took six poems. Shortly before her death, Eva Malreux wrote a book about Tsvetaeva, which remained unfinished.
