About the book: 1969 / Kleist drew material for the drama "Prince Friedrich of Homburg" from Russian history. At its center are the events of the Battle of Fehrbellin (1675), which largely determined the future fate of Germany. Kleist, as usual, treated this historical episode very freely, inventing a lot and completely changing the image of the main character.
