The author, fulfilling her journalistic assignment, was present at the trials herself, rummaging through court documents, scrupulously collecting material. I tried to figure out what was covered in the darkness of silence, putting myself first in the place of the criminal, then in the place of the victim, trying to comprehend human psychology in detail... To the best of my competence, of course. It seems that Severodvinsk is very rich in terrible human dramas, if you consider that the stories offered cover only a small fraction of the trials heard in a row.
