About the book: 2006 / The second part of the book "Native antiquity", first published in St. Petersburg in 1879 under edited by V.D. Sipovsky, covers an important period in the history of our Fatherland, associated with the strengthening of Moscow, and with it all of Russia. Thanks to its fidelity to the Christian faith, Rus', after the sad fall of Byzantium, becomes the main custodian of Orthodoxy in the world. He decisively throws off the Tatar yoke, conquers Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberia. Not everything goes smoothly in the history of the country. Those who are entrusted with her fate do not always withstand the tests of power and glory. And the Russian people are paying for this with hardships and sorrows.
