About the book: 2018 / The events of the book take place in 2035 in Central Asia, 15 years after a nuclear war that destroyed most of the Earth's population. Cities are uninhabitable due to high levels of radiation. The few survivors moved away from them, forming small camps in the middle of the deserts. They have no electricity, communications, cars, firearms, and the main resources, which are becoming scarcer every day, are food and water. The main character Sergei lives in the village of Solnechny, not far from the city of Karaganda. The source of water in his camp dries up and he, along with three comrades, Ashot, Andrei and Zhenya, sets off to search for more favorable territories for life. The group’s path lies to Lake Issyk-Kul. The fighters have to overcome about a thousand kilometers. But no one promised them an easy ride…
