About the book: 1978 / For the first time - in a special issue of "Duma in Bulgarian Journalism" (May 24, 1977). Thinking about the significance of belief in an afterlife for a person, Stanev came up with the idea of ​​writing a story about Lazarus and Jesus, interpreting the Gospel tradition in his own way. N. Staneva believes that this idea arose from the writer back in 1942, when he discovered an unfinished story on this topic in his papers. The novella began in December 1976 and was completed in April 1977. It is based on the chapter from the Gospel of John, which precedes the story of the trial of Christ and the crucifixion.
