About the book: 1884 / The events of the novel take place in 1699 in the Norwegian part of the united kingdom of Denmark and Norway. The former great chancellor of the kingdom was imprisoned by the slander of enemies; his daughter shares his hardships. The chancellor's enemy, Count Alefeld, not content with the punishment, conceived a grandiose intrigue that would finally disgrace the disgraced nobleman and lead him to the scaffold. The intriguer includes in his plan the evil, invulnerable human-beast, the vengeful bloodsucker, the robber Han-Icelander, who terrifies the civilians of the country. Only a miracle can save the innocent from a tightly woven network!
