MediaDB / «He fell on the grass...” Viktor Dragunsky, Dudkin Stanislav: download fb2, read online
About the book: 2013 / The autobiographical story of Viktor Yuzefovich Dragunsky “He fell on the grass...” opens a new, “military” series of “Scooter” . The title of the series - “How it Was” - explains the publishing intention: to tell about the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 honestly and objectively - as much as possible. Honesty is guaranteed by the names of the authors - these are Russian front-line writers, direct eyewitnesses of what is described, people with an impeccable personal and literary reputation. Objectivity, we hope, will be ensured by the “scientific apparatus”: in each book in the series, the work of fiction is supplemented by an article by a historian, setting out today’s view of the events described. The first book in the series “How It Was” tells about the fate of the Moscow militia, about the tragedy of the autumn of 1941: those not drafted in the active army (due to health, age, etc.), Muscovites volunteer to dig trenches and face - untrained, ununiformed and not even armed - with no one at that moment, already unstoppable by the wave of the German offensive.
