MediaDB / «Stalingrad: Notes of a Front Commander" Andrei Eremenko: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1961 / The book "Stalingrad" mainly covers the actions of the troops of the South-Eastern and Stalingrad fronts during the Battle of Stalingrad. So that the reader has a broader overall picture of the events of that period, information is given, but very briefly, about the actions of neighboring fronts. This brevity should in no way detract from the significant contribution of the soldiers of these fronts to the common cause of victory. Photo illustrations are also given on the two named fronts. The book was created mainly on the basis of personal memories. When writing it, archival materials, military historical works of domestic and foreign authors, and front-line press were used. Individual participants in the battle, at the request of the author, kindly provided the materials they had at his disposal. In this regard, the author expresses heartfelt gratitude to: Marshal of the Soviet Union K. S. Moskalenko, Army General F. I. Golikov, Colonel General M. S. Shumilov, Air Marshal N. S. Skripko, Aviation Lieutenant General N. G. Seleznev, Lieutenant General N.P. Anisimov, Major General E.A. Rainin. Sincere gratitude is expressed to Major V.K. Pechorkin for his great assistance in processing materials and preparing the manuscript for printing, Colonel F.V. Orlov, who helped the author recall many details of combat life and took part in the processing of some materials, as well as Colonel V. . S. Petrukhin for help in making the diagrams and V. A. Druzhkov for preparing the photographs. [4] The author dedicates his work to the participants in the great battle of Stalingrad as a sign of deep respect. [5]
